On November 11, as the pilot unit of national Class-A general ship design, Changjiang Ship Design Institute of CSC Shipbuilding Industry Corporation accepted the field evaluation and acceptance organized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Office of Scientific & Technological Industry of National Defense in Hubei Province, and successfully obtained the certificate (No.: Hubei Ship Design Certificate No.1 [2011]), becoming the first corporation that passed the qualification evaluation in China.

　　In order to standardize the ship design market and ensure the quality and safety of ship construction, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved and released the recommended ship industry standard Basic Requirements and Evaluation Method of Design Condition for Ship Design Organization in April 2010, which came into effect from June 1, 2010. In line with this standard, the acceptance work was carried out on the inspection and evaluation in terms of four aspects as general requirements, personnel requirements, management requirements, technical equipment and application requirements by the national evaluation expert panel from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Office of Scientific & Technological Industry of National Defense in Hubei Province. The expert panel evaluated the qualification of Changjiang Ship Design Institute and made affirmative appraisals, they agreed that:  Changjiang Ship Design Institute (CSDI) met the qualification requirements of national Class-A general ship design institute.

    As a domestic renowned design institute, CSDI’s passing of the acceptance will further promote the industry brand for the corporation and lay a solid foundation to win the trust of customers.
