On June 10, the naming and delivery ceremony of the super tanker - “Yangtze Star” was held in Shanghai. CSC President Zhao Huxiang attended.
　　The “Yangtze Star” is the first of the four 316,000-ton super tankers to be built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for CSC Tanker Limited. It ranks first in dwt among the tankers currently owned and controlled by CSC Tanker Limited.
　　Up to the CSR (Common Structural Rules for Bulk Carriers) standards which came into effect on April 1, 2011, the vessel stands out in its efforts for energy conservation and environment protection as it is equipped with Sparen energy-saving device and low-sulfur oil processing system. It also enjoys the cargo oil heating facilities and the safety compartment as per anti-piracy specifications. With the maximum dwt of 318,000, the vessel is able to load two million barrels of imported crude oil for one time, which marks strong competitiveness in the waters W of Suez Canal characterized by high freight rates. So far, CSC Tanker Limited has owned and controlled 11 super tankers.
