Nanjing Tanker Corporation, subsidiary of China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corporation, formerly Nanjing Water Transportation Industry Co., Ltd, was incorporated in 1993. The Company had become listed company in 1997, with stock abbreviation “长航油运” and exchange code “600087”. The Company had successfully implemented strategic reorganization in 2007 from Yangtze River oil transportation to marine oil transportation through assets restructuring and Non-public Offering of shares, and now becomes the subsidiary of China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corporation major in marine oil transportation. Its business scope mainly includes international crude oil transportation, international product oil transportation, chemicals transportation, and special liquid transportation such as liquated gas, asphalt and so on. As at 2007, the Company owns 58 transportation vessels, with total dead-weight of 1.84 million tons, and transportation capacity of 30 million tons per annum. The ship lines cover global routes. The Company is expected to own dead-weight of 7 million tons until 2010 and endeavors to become one of the top international oil transportation corporations.
